… In Memory of a dream

A dream is
Always a dream
Gold gilded gracious thought
A desire to rule to win
To acquire what others seldom had
In spite of knowing that
A dream is always a dream
(..Dec 1990)

When a dream dies
Abnormal death
The pain percolates into you body
It forms a clot
Somewhere into your memories
And grows into a malignant tumor
This spreads slowly to consume you
There are no antidotes
No chemotherapy
For emotional ailments
The sting of a pretender
Is a scourge

To believe and get bitten
Not once
But twice and thrice
Is a madness
A disease
And the prescription
Is
To suffer for ever
The agony of a broken dream
The dream that never was
